One of the things I’ve always liked to do as a way to clear my mind and decompress is to listen to 1950s doo-wop. Songs like The Penguins -Earth Angel , The Chordettes- Mr Sandman , Fred Parris and the Satins- In The Still Of The Night etc always instantly chill me out. I love Acapella harmonies , and I like the way the choreography was simple but matched the song. Plus the matching dressy outfits were simply darling! 🌟
I used to sketch as a little girl so I have artistic sensibilities. I can tend to be sensitive, so listening to softer music always helps me centre myself. Plus it’s one of the easiest ways to do it for me. I also like the controlled composure in body language when doo -wop groups performed, since I love to control my movements as a dancer and when I practise performing as a singer ! Also the formality with performance I like so much !
There’s loads of personal ways/things I do in my me time to keep me balanced. I’ve always placed a very high importance of tending to my inner world, so I’m constantly energised and motivated! Not that it’s hard to self-motivate for me , it’s doing the personal tlc stuff that helps me keeps my energetic mind in perfect balance since I can be restless in nature too !
